About Us Kidz Kabana’s hourly program is a great place for social interaction with peers and adults. Our staff is very interactive but more importantly, not interested in choosing activities for the kids but offering them many options. This is important because children learn the most through play and their own experiences and discoveries. The kids at Kidz Kabana will also have the choice to interact with our fun-loving staff during adult-led, structured activities like: Interactive story time Arts and crafts Building and construction challenges And many more Safety The safety of your child is very important to us and we know that parents need to feel secure about leaving their children with a childcare provider. Kidz Kabana protects your children with the following: We have developed a proprietary secure check-in/check-out software package There are always two staff members on duty with two more staff members on call All staff is CPR certified Our center is equipped with a state-of-the-art security and fire protection system We are licensed by the State of Missouri Bureau of Child Care All staff is registered in the The Missouri Family Care Safety Registry Program The Missouri's Family Care Safety Registry was established by law to protect children, elderly, and the physically or mentally disabled in this state and to promote family and community safety by providing background information on potential caregivers. Families and employers can call the registry's toll-free telephone line to request background information on registered child-care, elder care, and personal caregiver workers or to request licensure status information on licensed child-care and elder care providers. This service is intended to provide information to help families and employers make informed decisions when hiring employees to work with children, elderly, and the physically or mentally disabled. Behavior Management Our philosophy on managing behavior is redirection and problem solving. We hope that each and every child will have fun and be safe while at Kidz Kabana. But if they need some help, we will redirect them to a different area or adult who will help them solve any problem they may be having. Though we will try our best to help each child understand our methods, in the event any child gets violent and/or dangerous, Kidz Kabana will expect the parents to pick up their child promptly so we can work together to solve the problem. Meals and Snacks We provide healthy, nutritious, kid-friendly snacks during specified snack times for no extra cost. The kids who are in attendance during meal times will be offered a meal for $3.00.
